Theresa Marie Ohanian is a Director, Actor, Writer, and Teacher currently based just outside of Washington, DC in Fairfax, Virginia. She has a double Bachelor of Arts in Acting and Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, a Hybrid MFA in Directing and Creating New Work from York University in Toronto, Canada, and a lifetime of vocational education from many places, including The Second City and Improv Olympic. Using her hybrid vocal coaching model stemming from years of Linklater Voice training, she is currently teaching Voice and Speech at George Mason University. She is an adaptive, collaborative teaching artist with a personal philosophy based on respect, trust, hard work, and innovation. She also has a background in improvisation and devised theatre that permeates her dedication to the classics, stories of the underrepresented, and new voices of the theatre community.
